The Willard Hall Education Building is named in honor of the eminent Delaware attorney and jurist of the 19th century, Willard E. Hall, who made great contributions to the development of the public educational system in Delaware. In 2017 R G Architects was retained to completely renovate lecture halls 006 and 007. The goal for room 007, in particular, was to transform it into the shining standard for the university. Below are images of the final design and the final result. Unfortunately, due to last minute value engineering, the new acoustical wood ceiling was eliminated and a more conventional suspended ceiling was installed in its place.
