The new 15,000 square foot Maintenance Facility will be constructed with the sustainable objective of LEED Silver for Cecil College. This building is in response to a growing college campus and a current inadequate amount of storage and office space for their facilities and grounds department. The building features a central administrative core with the southern exposure, surrounded by a campus storage wing and buildings and grounds shop and facilities shop which will serve the college for many years to come.
Although the building was designed to meet LEED silver, the core purpose of the design is to create an environment that simultaneously meets the client’s needs, is comfortable to all the occupants, and becomes a leader in energy efficient design.
