Wharton Hal Treatment Center

Picture
R G Architects converted the circa 1932 Wharton Hall building into a new Resident Treatment Center based on the study RG Architects completed in 2022.  The 28,550sf, three story building has stood vacant going back 30 years.  Due to the historical significance of the building, it was the hope of the DSCYF that the structure could be converted into a Resident Treatment Center for as many as 16 youth. RGA worked with the stake holders to finalize the design which includes bedrooms, classrooms, new kitchen, building entry addition, new elevator and egress stair tower, treatment rooms, all new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, and making use of the second floor gymnasium
