R G Architects, in association with GFT Inc., provided comprehensive design services to the State of Delaware for the construction of a new 30,000 square foot State Police facility located on Kirkwood Highway in Wilmington, Delaware.
The main building features space for Evidence Processing & Storage, Arrest Processing and Holding, Troop Support Areas, Secure Interview Rooms, Administrative Offices accommodating up to a staff of 15, and a Community Room that can accommodate events with up to 100 participants.
In addition to the Troop 6 Main Building, the complex features a Vehicle Maintenance and Evidence Storage Building, which provides drive-thru bays for vehicles, boats, and trailers, serving the Explosive Ordinance Disposal Unit (EOD) and the Marine Self-Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus Unit (SCUBA).
